In October, two World days will be dedicated to raising awareness around mental health and menopause. Below are several resources for promoting these days.
October 10: World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues. To emphasize the importance of taking care of our mental health and understanding the factors that can contribute to improving it, we’ve designed content specifically to support group insurance plan members:
- A practical guide that highlights the pillars of mental health
- A two-part webinar to learn how to prioritize mental health, manage stress and anxiety and build resilience:
- A wide range of resources that explore metal health topics in our article Taking care of yourself, one day at a time.
October 18: World Menopause Day
Menopause marks a new chapter in women’s lives, one which is often accompanied by major changes and significant consequences. Organizations have every reason to take an interest in menopause and what it means for their employees.
Our white paper Menopause and work: creating an inclusive environment examines these issues and discusses how solutions can be found not only in work accommodations and adaptations, but also in group insurance coverage.
From a global health perspective, we have also enhanced our group insurance offering to better address the health realities experienced by women, including menopause, and to support plan administrators in this effort.
See our brochure Investing in women’s health: a decision that benefits everyone to learn more about this topic.
For group insurance plan members, a practical guide to women’s health is also available, which includes a section on menopause.
Communiqué to plan administrators
We will send a communiqué to group insurance plan administrators on September 21. See the French version of the communiqué.
